The others are fine, and some patchwork repair with tape has kept the split bag from deteriorating further. The HypaGel Hot/Cold Pack can be cooled in a refrigerator or freezer for use in cryotherapy, or heated in a microwave for use in thermotherapy. This has a soft touch fastening strap so you can secure the gel pack to the affected area for relief.

Every gel pack comes complete with a soft cover to prevent burns or frostbite that may occur with no cover. However, later in the rehabilitation process, when the acute phase has passed, alternating hot and cold, or applying just heat may be more beneficial. Cold treatment helps reduce pain and swelling after muscle or joint injuries, as part of the RICE method recommended by the NHS - Protection, Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation. The reusable Hot or Cold pack is a gel filled pack which is durable and resistant to both bursting and punctures. Bear in mind that if you leave the pack in the freezer for more than a couple of hours, the pack may freeze solid. Heat should not be applied directly after injury, you have to wait for the swelling to die down before treating with heat therapy.

I've only used it once, it took approx 45 seconds in the microwave to reach a temperature warm enough to be effective. Reusable fabric Hot-Cold pack, ideal to use for temporary relief from muscle aches, back pain sinusitis and menstrual cramps. Simple to use and provides long-lasting hot or cold therapy, longer than a standard instant hot or cold pack. Reusable to treat delayed muscle soreness for days after the injury has occurred to soothe the wounded area.

From the fridge to the microwave, this versatile pack with extra protective sleeve stays flexible whatever the temperature. When warm, remove the gel pack from the microwave, wipes off any excess water and place the gel pack into the pocket of the wrap.

Never apply the gel pack directly to skin without protection, such as a towel, as it may cause burns or frostbite. For the best results to heat them up, we would recommend putting them in a microwave however using hot water will also work.If this is the case, let the gel pack warm up for a few minutes before application and the gel pack will become softer and more pliable again. Use this good quality hot and cold therapy pack to apply soothing heat or pain-relieving cold to areas of stiffness, soreness or swelling anywhere on your body. Cooling also reduces the metabolic demand of surrounding tissues so they become less likely to suffer injury due to interruption of their normal blood supply during the injury.
