Now on recently opened cans of hp beans if find the bean content the same about 60% and the sauce is becoming thinner. They didn't blow my mind and make me realise what I've been missing all these years, but the flavour was decent and the small tin would make for handy lunch.

HP Baked Beans in a Rich Tomato Sauce (2x415g) HP Baked beans provide a convenient, tasty meal for everyone to enjoy. We recommend that you do not rely solely on the information presented here and that you always read labels, warnings, and directions before using or consuming a product. As you would expect, this budget friendly option isn't packed with flavour, but does tick a lot of boxes when it comes to texture.

Typical jobs: hospital/ward nurse, waitressing in a busy restaurant, cleaner, porter, labourer/construction worker, gardener, farm worker.

I sampled tins from Heinz, Sainsbury's, Tesco, Co-op, Asda, Asda Just Essentials, Branston, HP, and Aldi - here's what I thought. It was yet again a little watery for me, but not the thinnest sauce I'd seen during the course of the taste test.

We also offer retail jars of sweets and boxes of bars of chocolate including all the Great British chocolates found in the UK, Cadbury and Nestle.

Reading the label on the HP tin it does say in the contents that their is 43% beans and the rest is made up of an insipid red coloured water. You can change your choices at any time by visiting Cookie preferences, as described in the Cookie notice. The beans were among the smallest I tried, and whilst the texture was ok, it left me feeling underwhelmed.

At 45p per tin, Aldi is certainly maintaining its reputation for affordability when it comes to beans.Recent years have seen baked bean pizzas, baked bean crisps, and the (albeit more niche) baked bean tequila shot - proving we'll incorporate beans into our diets by any means possible. The relaunch follows speculation that Heinz was considering changing the recipe of its flagship Baked Beanz in response to a high profile campaign by Premier Foods for its recently-launched Branston Beans, which claimed a victory over its rival on taste.
